Pint sized DJ on the decks at Carnival City’s Pocket Park

Five year old Oratilwe AJ Hlongwane – aka DJ Arch Jnr – will be hitting the decks at Carnival City’s Pocket park to mark the start of spring on Saturday, 2 September 2017. The pint sized DJ will entertain young music fans from 13h00 to 15h00 and there is no cost to enjoy the show.

DJ Arch Jnr is a Johannesburg born young talent who started showing a keen interest in music at a tender age of just a few months old. His father Glen Hlongwane purchased an iPad for him, which was intended for educational purposes. Overtime, deejaying software was installed for him to have fun and play around with. Very quickly, the youngster proved to be a deft hand with using the tools in the app and before long, his mixing skills were transferred onto live equipment. He became an instant social media sensation as he displayed his impressive deejay skills to audiences worldwide. Expectations were exceeded when he entered SA’s Got Talent and he won the first prize.

Since then, DJ Arch Jnr has secured high profile opportunities such as being the resident deejay for the Mc Donald’s U/14 Schools Soccer League; performing at the SAFTAs (South African Film Awards); AFRIMAs (All Africa Music Awards) in Nigeria, as well as on radio stations including Metro FM, Jacaranda FM, and Lesedi FM. He has also appeared on television shows such as Craze Etv, SABC 3 Morning Expresso show, Etv morning sunrise, ENCA news, BBC news and many more. Attaining well over 32 million views on his SA’s got talent YouTube video for winning the competition, it’s safe to says this little dude has got talent and the world is watching.
