Dylan Skews headlines August edition of Hanover Street Comedy Sundowners

Well known actor and standup comedian, Dylan Skews is back at GrandWest for the Hanover Street Comedy Sundowners onSunday, 6 August 2017. With a comedy style that blends edgy city boy antics and down to earth, accessible fun, Skews will treat the audience to elaborate impersonations and a broad anthology of jokes that will have them laughing out loud.

One of the country’s most recognisable comedians, Skews has been on the comedy circuit for over seven years and has stacked up a few accolades including winning the Nando’s Comedy Showdown in 2009 and Phat Joe's Comedy Show in 2010 when he won the title Cape Town’s Next Best Comedian. He also enjoyed praise for his one man show Skews Me which he wrote, directed and performed on Broadway.

A trained actor, he has featured in international and local feature films, series and documentaries as well as numerous commercials. His most memorable role was the boisterous, drunk pirate Logan in the Michael Bay series Black Sails.

Also on the bill for the August edition of the Hanover Street Comedy Sundowners are Westley Cockrell, Troy Tesla and Lunga Tshuka. The hilarious Rob van Vuuren takes the role of host for the night, bringing his own comical twist to the showcase.
The doors will open at 17h00 and the show will start at 18h00. The cost to enter is R60 per person, strictly for over 18s. Contact 082 588 6662 to book. The first 100 guests through the doors will receive a complimentary drink.
