The award winning Table Bay hotel in Cape Town continues to be ranked amongst the world’s finest hotels, stacking up yet another award. The hotel, part of Sun International’s SunLux Collection of luxury hotels, has been acknowledged by British Airways Holidays as one of the top reviewed hotels in its inaugural Customer Excellence Awards Programme. The Table Bay achieved a score of 9.3 out of 10 based on customer reviews, making it one of 200 top rated hotels out of more than 12 000 evaluated in the programme.
The British Airways Holidays commissioned independent and impartial, third party review company, Reevoo, to collect the reviews from customers. Guests were asked to score hotels based on location, service, cleanliness, and sleep quality, as well as giving an overall quality score on their experience. The Table Bay ranked highly across all categories by guests who have stayed at the hotel.
“Our guests are our passion and the lifeblood of our hotel, so for us it is significant that this award is based on reviews by our guests. Certainly, it is a great source of pride that The Table Bay is rated so highly amongst the finest hotels in the world by travellers.
“The award bears testimony to our employees’ commitment to service excellence, professionalism, and warm hospitality. As ambassadors, our employees are at the heart of delivering the quintessential South African experience for which The Table Bay is renowned. We are privileged to have a truly exceptional team of passionate professionals working at The Table Bay,” says Joanne Selby, the General Manager at The Table Bay.
The Table Bay was opened by the iconic former South African president, Nelson Mandela, in 1997. Since then has continued to set its own standards in international service and luxury – with a defining local flavour. Its offerings are authentically South African, and unique to its destination.
Set on the historic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, with the working harbour, Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean providing its backdrop, The Table Bay offers convenient proximity to Cape Town’s business centre and an array of tourist attractions. It boasts 329 opulent rooms offering panoramic views of the ocean or waterfront; a world-class spa; five beautiful function venues, and a spectacular pool-deck.
