Suns out buns out with VonZipper at Sun City’s Valley of Waves this spring

Californian eyewear & beachwear brand, VonZipper is about to open the doors of its first ever standalone location in South Africa at Sun City’s Valley of Waves
“VonZipper is the life of the party, and the party is always in full swing at the Valley of Waves, so it’s the perfect fit,” says Chad D’Arcy, VonZipper’s Group Marketing Manager.
Much like Sun International’s flagship resort, Sun City, VonZipper is about lifestyle and personality and can be all things to all people.  The brand’s designs are cutting edge and it always endeavors to innovate rather than imitate.  Whilst eyewear is VonZipper’s hero category, D’Arcy says that the store will be catering for everyone’s beach and party needs.

“We will have tees, singlets, board shorts, swimwear, open-toe footwear, headwear as well as towels and other accessories.”
Commenting on the opening of the store, Colin Jonkers, Group Manager, Retail and Service Providers at Sun International, says: “We bring guests the beach, palm trees, cocktails and waves at our resort. Now we are bringing favoured beachwear brand, VonZipper to our shores. We are thrilled to have VonZipper on board to take care of all the complimenting accessories and equipment to complete the full beach experience.”

VonZipper has been putting smiles on people’s faces in South Africa since the early 2000s shortly after the brand’s launch.  Today it is represented in over 50 independent stores across the country, but none like the dedicated store opening at the Valley of Waves.
“Spring just means longer days and more hours of sunshine,” says D’Arcy, “Which reminds us of one of our favourite phrases – suns out, buns out.”
When next visiting Sun City’s Valley of Waves, check out the stylish VonZipper store.

“We always endeavor to increase and enhance our offering to visitors at Sun City, and this is just another exciting addition,” says Jonkers.
The Valley of Waves has undergone a number of enhancements in the past two years, including the installation of two new thrilling water slides – Ovango and Noble’s Descent - and the opening of two fantastic eateries; the gastropub, The Brew Monkey and fast food outlet, Food Factory. From September 2017 to April 2018, the Valley of Waves’ extended summertime operating hours, from 09h00 to 18h00, are back in force. Entries fees are: R120 per adult (13 years and older); R70 per child (4 to 12 year olds) and R60 per senior (60 years and older, on presentation of ID).
