Starbucks together with Taste Holdings have announced Melrose Arch as the location for their next store. This announcement comes after the recent opening of stores in Brooklyn Mall and Eastgate Shopping Centre and brings the store footprint to seven in total.
The 333sqm store has the capacity to seat 160 people and offer a Starbucks core bar, which serves Starbucks core beverages consisting of their 100% Arabica coffee, an expansive fresh food selection, an exciting range of Teavana teas, cold beverages and free high-speed Wi-Fi.
The Melrose Arch store is also the first store with a separate Reserve bar that will only serve Starbucks Reserve coffee. These exclusive, small-lot coffees are sourced from around the world and brought to life through a variety of brewing methods including Siphon, Pour-Over, Black Eagle, and the Clover™ machine.
As with all Starbucks stores, customers can expect a uniquely designed store. Starbuck Melrose Arch draws inspiration from the soil that nurtures our coffee berries and the material and finishes pay homage to the African landscape.
Starbucks has a heritage of celebrating inclusivity and diversity and this year Starbucks is a proud associate of Johannesburg Pride set to take place in Melrose Arch on 28 October. The store will be a “Glam stop” for Pride attendees to relax and enjoy a limited time Pride beverage, the Berry Yoghurt Frappuccino.
Starbucks Melrose Arch is located on Cnr High Street and Crescent Drive and opens on 18 October.
