Cape Town based combat sports series, Professional Fighting Championships (PFC), comes to a nail biting crescendo with PFC 11 at GrandWest on30 September 2017. Team Turkey, which has been dominating the global scene, will take on team South Africa, making PFC 11 an international showdown. With the stakes high and competition stiff, team South Africa has been training hard, with their hopes set on beating the Turks on home soil.
PFC fans can also look forward to a full fight card of hair raising bouts. Cape Town’s Emile Brits faces his biggest challenge yet as he takes on Johannesburg’s Thabo Chauke in a three round war. The Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC) Alexandre Kabangu, who dominates the middleweight scene, will face his fellow countryman Ikuku Mafisa in a three round action packed fight.
A man who has proved unstoppable is crowd favourite and number one ranked Rafal Wozniak who takes on Given Mothiba. Mothiba, from Johannesburg, was not happy with the judges’ decision at the last fight and is working hard to win this time around. A legend in combat sports, Chad Hepburn makes his professional debut against the highly experienced and always dangerous Anthony Mailer.
Cape Town favourite, Wade Hammond, will meet Mathew Lee Marais in what promises to be a technical war while another local fighter, Julien Esterhuyzen, will face Durban’s Ceileigh Niedermayr at PFC 11.
PFC followers are encouraged to book their seats now for the 2017 series finale at Sun Exhibits, GrandWest. Tickets, available at Computicket, are R500 for VIP, R300 for ringside and R200 for general seating.
