Worcester born Idol set to sparkle on home soil

Worcester born songstress Elwira Standili is set to sparkle on home soil this summer. She takes to the stage at Golden Valley for an intimate show on 10 November 2017.

From the dusty streets of a poultry-farming community just outside Worcester, this soulful, refined, and warm personality is now living her dream. As a young girl she never wanted to do anything else but become a singer. To make ends meet, she worked on a farm, was a cleaner for a trucking company, and served coffee at a coffee shop, but her passion for singing remained the reality that she was working towards. Entering SA Idols in 2015 changed the course of her life and she finally got her chance to shine. During the show, SA Idols judge, Randall Abrahams said that she is the kind of singer that you could give any song to, and she will be able to do it.

She made it to the top eight and has never looked back. Since then, she has continued to carve a niche for herself on the local music scene and has run shows of her own at venues such as the Baxter Theatre and Artscape. She also travels the country performing at festivals, concerts and conferences.

Her show at 21h00 at Winners Sports Bar is free to enjoy. Fans are urged to arrive early to settle in before Standili takes to the stage.
