One of South Africa’s comedy giants Marc Lottering and Cape Town’s Gino Fernandez lead an ensemble of up and coming comedians in The Next Comedy Generation show at Hanover Street, GrandWest on 22 June 2017. Comedy fans are promised all new material and loads of laughter with emerging comedy talent. In the lineup are Lindy Johnson, Keenan Cerff, Josphat Pondo, Darren Amos and Harold van der Merwe.
“We are delighted to bring back Lottering and Fernandez to our stage, alongside rising comedy talent, in June 2017. GrandWest is a keen supporter of local and emerging talent. We look forward to seeing what these comedians have in store for the audience,” says Elouise Matthys, the PR and Promotions Manager at GrandWest.
Lottering’s appearance will no doubt be a highlight of The Next ComedyGeneration show. The ever popular Lottering is known for this stage shows Grootbek, From the Cape Flats with Love and This is Captain Lottering Speaking. An award winning standup comedian, he has become a household name as a result of his numerous TV appearances and comedy shows during a career spanning over two decades. Comics Choice Award nominee Fernandez is also one of South Africa’s most recognised comedians, known for his sharp wit and crowd interaction.
