NIROX Sculpture Park
In
deference to the indelible marks of Dylan’s
raw genius, acousticsNOW has assembled a collection of South Africa's leading
acoustic musicians to take residence in the NIROX Artist’s Residency -
exploring, interpreting and rehearsing a unique program of Dylan’s profound work, which has controversially earned him the
Nobel Prize for literature.
The
collective will dig deep into the master-influencer's vast lyrical landscape to
develop and inform their own creative output in a live public performance of
exclusively Dylan compositions.
Dayne
Rothbletz,
Jon Shaban, Adelle Nqeto, Shotgun Tori, Tubatsi Moloi,
Jamie Acheson and Lucy Kruger will present a full-day outdoor concert
in the NIROX Sculpture Park amphitheatre on Saturday 25 November
consisting entirely of their own renderings of Dylan - both popular and obscure. Additional instrumentation will
include violin, harmonica, bass, tambourine and Tubatsi Moloi's ethereal flute.
Epic
festival food will be courtesy of the Epicurean Emporium, featuring an array of
the finest traders from Johannesburg's flourishing food markets, as well as
freshly established Jozi restauranteurs.
