stars are red, white and wild! Kicking off the 2017 national tour, the TOPS at
SPAR Wine Show is back in Johannesburg, and for the first time at Montecasino,
to present its 12th spectacular “pourformance” of South Africa’s
most loved wines and bubbly from 25th – 27th May 2017.
The wonderful world of wine awaits
those who crave a bit of magic and plenty of adventure. After searching the far
reaches of the Northern Cape’s dry arid regions and the lush Western Cape’s winelands,
the TOPS at SPAR Wine Show’s selection of the best of the best is sure to
entertain your senses in a wine show like no other.
Among signature experiences is the exclusive
Café Cru Sparkling Wine Bar hosted by
Miguel Chan, head sommelier for the Tsogo Sun group where visitors can immerse
themselves in the glitz and glam that’s synonymous with bubbly. Also on show
and back by popular demand, is the interactive and edutaining Wine Theatre. There’s also a range of
VIP packages over and above general access this year. Think exclusive and private
tastings of premium wines and fine food pairing, VIP lounge access, a special
gift, snacks and canapés, and, and, and….
Named the best consumer exhibition
in its category at the 2017 AAXO’s Organiser and Exhibitor Awards, this year’s
TOPS at SPAR Wine Show is in a league of its own and encourages all wine

bottles directly from the wine producers at cellar door prices.

admission is R120 online or R140 at the door. It includes a tasting glass, all
tastings and access to the wine theatre and a map to help navigate the show.

About The TOPS at SPAR Wine Show:
The TOPS at SPAR Wine Show was launched
in 2006 and has since grown to become arguably South Africa’s fastest-growing
consumer wine exhibition. Buoyed by its new owners in 2015, the event now hosts
six shows around the country in Johannesburg, Durban, Nelspruit, Port Elizabeth,
Pretoria and Cape Town between May and December. Besides its diversity of
quality wines to try and buy direct from the exhibitors, seasoned wine
connoisseurs as well as up-and-coming wine farms, fans are engaged with its
fun, edu-taining format that includes an edutaining Wine Theatre, a pop-up bubbly bar and performance artists.
