Take your dog on a Walk of Hope with The Boardwalk

The Boardwalk teams up with the Animal Anti-Cruelty League for the Walk of Hope – in aid of abused and neglected animals – on 5 August 2017. The community is called to bring along their beloved pets for a fun filled, 5 kilometre stroll from The Boardwalk. If you don’t have a pet to bring along, you can “adopt” an animal for the morning to enjoy the spirited meander. All proceeds raised through entry fees will be donated to the Animal Anti-Cruelty League in Port Elizabeth. The mass dog walk will start from The Boardwalk parking area at 09h00. The entry fee is R40 per person. The fun and festivities will continue throughout the morning with an array of food stalls as well as a children’s play area.

“Come down with your furry friend and enjoy a morning of outdoor activity for a good cause. The Animal Anti-Cruelty League does tremendous good work to protect, care for and rehabilitate animals that are neglected and abused. Just think, you can do something to improve the quality of life for a needy animal, and make your pet happy at the same time. Your medal won’t be shiny and bright. Instead it will be a feeling inside where you know you have done right,” says Siphokazi Ngombane, Public Relations & Promotions Manager at The Boardwalk.

Please note that all dogs must be on a leash to participate in the walk. People who would like to ‘adopt’ a dog to take for a walk can contact Amanda on 082 492 2744 for more information.
