Reed Exhibitions, South Africa`s premier exhibition organiser and venue management company, announced today that Africa’s leading health, wellness and fitness Festival, FIBO Global Fitness Africa, presented by Dis-Chem Pharmacies returns to the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg from 25 to 27 October 2019.
Last year’s festival was an overwhelming success with over 6 500 attendees through its doors, and over 100 fitness and health exhibitors interacting with the public and professionals alike. The Ticketpro Dome became a playground for fitness enthusiasts and professionals to network, seek out the latest wellness concepts and innovations, and further their knowledge in the fitness industry. Throughout the three days at FIBO Global Fitness Africa 2018, 61 Free Fitness classes were hosted, 22 speakers shared first-hand experience in health, wellness and fitness, 20 delicious food demonstrations and 17 athleisure fashions brands were showcased.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Returning to FIBO Global Fitness Africa 2019 will be the universally popular MiFitness Games which last year hosted 330 competing athletes as well as the various focused Fit Zones including FitMOVE, FitFOOD and FitWEAR. We will also be introducing some new and exciting Zones to cater for the interests of individuals passionate about leading a healthy and active lifestyle.
This year’s festival will be raising the bar a few notches higher with several updated exhibits and programs including a massive 380 sqm Dis-Chem Village offering the best in healthy living supplements and nutrition
FIBO AFRICA SUMMIT
On the 24 October, FIBO Africa will host its third annual summit, themed Future of Fitness. The summit will have to educational streams – one focusing on fitness facility management and the other for personal trainers. Local and international speakers will provide all attendees with valuable information that they can use to improve their health, wellness and fitness offerings.
WALKING THE TALK
This year we are delighted to announce the introduction of The Dream Team where FIBO Africa will be following the fitness journeys of ordinary South Africans seeking a healthier lifestyle. MY EXPERIENCE
I struggle when it comes to fitness, I don't really enjoy being sore all over my body, I LOVE food and cant afford an expensive gym, but of course like anybody, I want to look great and feel great. So when I received an invite to the launch of FIBO 2019, at Bounce Fourways, I thought to myself, "just go and check it out and see what it is about", so I did. I had such a fun time, we had a brief presentation by FIBO which was super inspiring. I want to get my body under construction ASAP, and then we had the opportunity to have a Bounce fitness class and explore the facilities. The fitness class killed me, I now know how fit I am NOT. saying this though, I had so much fun working my body in a fun way. I also climbed some walls and bailed off a barrier, it was so funny! I could definitely contend on RIDICULOUSNESS (#justsaying). I would absolutely recommend visiting FIBO this year in October and definitely visit Bounce Fourways.Thank you to Dionne and Tammy from The Publicity Workshop, for the continuous support, you ladies are AMAZING
