Having been born and grown up in the UK, he has successfully merged Asian and Western music styles and instruments. While he does have a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Political Science and an LLB, his passion for music was his inevitable calling.  He started playing the piano at the age of five and composed his first piece of music when he was nine years old.  He rose to fame during the 90’s with several hit albums and has also lent his vocals to many mainstream Bollywoodfilms

Over his career of 32 years, he has won many international awards including the Nigar Award, Bolan Academy Award andGraduate Award, as well as having his achievements acknowledged by the premier music channel, MTV who awarded himBreakthrough Artist of the Year in 2003.  He was also the youngest recipient of the Naushad Music Award for Excellence in Music.

In 2001, Adnan received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

His first single was released in 1986 with an English smash hit in the Middle East which went straight to the #1 position in its first week.  He was sixteen at the time and had written and recorded a song for the United Nations and UNICEF called Run For His Life.  This was followed by countless other hit singles and albums over the years.  Shortly after becoming a sensation, he was invited by a filmmaker to write music for an upcoming film.  This opened the doors for him to compose and sing for Hindi films and which led to him getting acting offers at the same time.  His work has associated him with the greatest names from the Indian Film and Music industry.

After taking a sabbatical and having undergone a full transformation by losing over 160kg, Adnan made a comeback in April 2007 with the smash hit album, Kisi In.

As a classical concert pianist, Adnan has performed before royalty such as the King of Sweden and King Hussein of Jordan and many important Heads of States.
