MISS SOUTH AFRICA DEMI-LEIGH NEL-PETERS TO FEATURE IN THIS YEAR’S SA WORLD SWIMSUIT EDITION

Miss South Africa 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is currently on a photoshoot in Mauritius for this year’s World Swimsuit Issue which will be launched on November 20.

The SA Sports Illustrated Swimwear Issue, a recognised brand within the modelling and fashion industry, was incorporated into the global World Swimsuit (WS) brand in 2014 and includes an international World Swimsuit Model Search and YouTube Channel.

It has helped launch some of the most recognised faces in the industry including Bar Refaeli, Xenia Deli, Sarah Stephens, Samantha Hoopes and Solveig Mõrk as well as some of South Africa’s biggest exports such as Candice Swanepoel, Genevieve Morton, Dominique Piek and Jessica Buchanan.

As well as appearing in the annual World Swimsuit Issue 2017 distributed with both SA Rugby and SA Cricket magazines, Nel-Peters will participate in up close and personal, behind the scenes interviews which will be featured in the WS Television Special, screened on SuperSport and on the dedicated WS YouTube Channel.

Says Aletha Carswell, co-founder of World Swimsuit and managing director of Netsport Media: “We are very excited to be able to shoot South Africa’s very won Demi-Leigh as one of our World Swimsuit models this year, especially in lieu of the fact that she was featured as a World Swimsuit Rookie in 2016. We are extremely proud of what she has achieved during the past year. Demi-Leigh embodies everything we promote as a brand – she is a healthy, fit and strong young woman who embraces her individuality and femininity.”

The 60th Miss South Africa Pageant will be staged next year by licence holders Sun International, in collaboration with Cell C.
